She has been crowned Miss Gay Northeast America, Miss Gay Texas America and Miss Gay Galveston America. She has also been named OutSmart Magazine’s “Most Divine Drag Queen”. Dessie is a fixture in Houston and Galveston and has hosted 17 seasons of “Dessie’s Drag Race”. She was featured in the pilot episode of HBO’s Mamma Dallas.
