Adam Howard
Adam Howard is an Emmy Award-winning visual effects designer. With over 135 credits, Adam is one of the most experienced and in-demand artists in the film and television industry. He was trained in graphic design and illustration in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. He created groundbreaking digital effects and animation for ABC-TV Melbourne and AAV. Adam emigrated to the United States and soon after found work with Star Trek: The Next Generation and MacGyver. His decade of involvement with the Star Trek franchise awarded him four Primetime Emmy Awards and an International Monitor Award for visual effects. Adam worked for several years as a senior artist at George Lucas’s Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). His credits include Titanic, Birdman, Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Mission Impossible 3, Rush Hour 3, Jarhead, Cliffhanger, The Sandlot, The River Wild, Pee Wee’s Big Holiday, War of the Worlds, Star Trek: First Contact, The Day After Tomorrow and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Adam continues to work as a visual artist. He was senior VFX Supervisor for the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride experience at Universal Studios Orlando, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Recently, he was visual effects supervisor for The Hurricane Heist and is in pre-production for The True Story of Pinocchio. In addition to his film and television work Adam creates original illustrated portraits. These works have been exhibited in galleries and libraries along the east coast and are available on commission.
