Torie Lazaros

Torie Lazaros is one of the stars of Netflix’s Space Dealers, currently streaming in over two dozen countries. Torie grew up on Long Island, NY, not far from Grumman, where the Lunar Module was built. She has witnessed the first roll out of every Space Shuttle Orbiter to the pad for their first flight. She witnessed more than 75 launches, including the first and last flights of the program. Torie has worked in various positions in education including STEM including the Brevard County liaison for the Sally Ride Science Festival. She has tutored and mentored students in math and the physical sciences from middle school through college level, including the Young Astronauts. Torie worked with Spacehab, Inc. following the loss of the space shuttle Columbia and contributed to the “return to flight” operations. She currently works as a senior test technician for Lockheed Martin. Torie is a member of wSTEM (women of STEM) and an advocate for equality. She holds degrees in Aerospace Technology, is a Chemical Laboratory Specialist and will soon complete a B.S. in Space Science.  She is the owner/creator of Cosmic Yia Yia Creations, which features handmade space/mission themed models and ornaments.
